This day was created by Jeff Howard on April 20, 2018. Jeff has been involved with gongs, singing bowls, sound therapy for nearly 20 years. He created this day to raise awareness about the powerful relaxing effect of Gongs. Gongs have been very popular recently due to their instant calming effects.
Customs, Traditions And Celebrations
At 12:00 PM noon local time on October 9th we encourage those with Gongs to play it for a minimum of 15 minutes. Use this time for meditation, relaxation, calming, or a sound journey.
Group events are world wide. These events are normally a sound concert, sound bath, or sound meditation.
We also encourage those that sell gongs to offer promotions on this day to help the public to buy a gong.
